About the Vitality London 10,000

If you’d like to experience the camaraderie and excitement of a mass participation event over a 10K distance that’s fun and achievable for beginners and more seasoned runners alike, the Vitality London 10,000 is for you.

To add to its appeal, the Vitality London 10,000 takes place on a stunning central London course that passes many of the city’s most famous landmarks, including Admiralty Arch, Nelson’s Column, St Paul’s Cathedral, Mansion House, the Bank of England, the Old Bailey, Somerset House, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey (that’s quite a list!) so there’s plenty to see to keep you occupied as you run.

Everyone who completes their 10K will receive a finisher’s medal and T-shirt and, to round off the day, all participants (and their friends and families!) have the chance to relax and enjoy the assorted activities on offer at the Vitality Wellness Festival in Green Park – see our festival page for more information.

Celebrate You

The Vitality London 10,000 gives you the chance to run for your head and your heart and celebrate the mental health benefits being active brings, and it gives us a chance to celebrate our participants’ amazing achievements. That’s why our overarching theme is Celebrate You – read all about it on our campaign page.

Coming soon

  • Once we’ve confirmed a date for the 2022 Vitality London 10,000, this page will explain how to Celebrate You in 2022!
  • Everything you need to know about taking part in the Vitality London 10,000 will be listed here in the run-up to the event….

Brief history of the Vitality London 10,000

In 2019 the Vitality London 10,000 sold out for the first time in its 11-year history, with more than 19,000 people starting on The Mall and finishing in front of Buckingham Palace.

However, in 2020 the Covid-19 pandemic meant we couldn’t stage the event in its usual format – so, determined to make sure participants didn’t miss out, we created the first-ever virtual Vitality London 10,000.

The virtual event was such a success that we held it again in 2021 (and are planning it for next year too!), along with the Vitality London 10,000 at Hatfield Park in a countryside location that replaced the central London course for one year only, again due to the pandemic.

We’re delighted that the Vitality London 10,000 is now able to return to its home in the capital for 2022 and we hope to see you there next year!

Raise funds for charity

We always encourage participants to use the Vitality London 10,000 as an opportunity to raise much-needed funds for charity – so if you’re up for taking part next year now’s a great time to get your thinking cap on and consider which charity you might like to run for, and how you could maximise the money you raise…
