The Vitality London 10,000, voted Britain’s best 10K for two successive years*, goes virtual this year with runners across the UK invited to sign up to run 10K from home on the route of their choice during the October half-term period – Saturday 24 October to Sunday 1 November 2020.

The ‘Celebrate You’ theme of this year’s event will focus on the mental and physical health benefits of getting active which have been so important during lockdown. Nearly a million people have downloaded the Couch to 5K app during this period and the virtual Vitality London 10,000 offers people of all ages and abilities the opportunity to set a challenge, building up to the half-term week.

All participants need to do is run – or walk, or jog – 10K on a route of their choice anytime during the October half-term week and upload their time. All finishers will then be sent the original finisher’s medal and an exclusive New Balance performance T-shirt (retail value £35).

The entry fee is £15 and entries are available now.

Hugh Brasher, Event Director for London Marathon Events, said: “It’s not possible for us all to be together on the famous central London course this year, with the spectacular finish on The Mall, but the virtual Vitality London 10,000 offers a chance to run for your head and your heart and a chance for us to celebrate our amazing participants in these challenging times.

All runners who enter before midnight on Sunday 11 October will be sent a running number for the event. Entrants after this date will be able to download a running number from our website.

Entries close at 17:00 on Friday 23 October 2020.
