Virtual Vitality London 10,000

About the virtual Vitality London 10,000

If you’d prefer the freedom and flexibility of taking on 10K from home – or can’t get to central London easily – the virtual Vitality London 10,000 is the ideal option. All you need to do to take part is enter (more on this later!) and decide when and where you’ll take on your challenge during the event period.

We understand that modern life is hectic, so fitting in activity isn’t always easy – which is why we usually hold the virtual Vitality London 10,000 over a week. This way our participants can choose to run (or walk, or jog!) their 10K at a time that suits them.

It doesn’t matter if you don’t think you can manage to run the whole 10K, or if you’re not the fastest runner on the block – the main thing is to Celebrate You by getting out there and enjoying the physical and mental health benefits of exercise.

Celebrate You

The virtual Vitality London 10,000 gives you the chance to run for your head and your heart and celebrate the mental health benefits being active brings, and it gives us a chance to celebrate our participants’ amazing achievements. That’s why our overarching theme is Celebrate You – read all about it on our campaign page.

The virtual Vitality London 10,000 in 2022

We’ll be sharing the dates for both the virtual and mass Vitality London 10,000 with you as soon as they are confirmed – so please check back later in the year for details, and to enter!

Coming soon

  • Once we’ve confirmed a date for the 2022 Vitality London 10,000, this page will explain how to Celebrate You in 2022!
  • Everything you need to know about taking part in the Vitality London 10,000 will be listed here in the run-up to the event….

Medals and T-shirts for all

We’ll send participants a bib number in advance of the virtual event so they can look and feel the part when they choose to run – plus they’ll be rewarded for their efforts with the same finisher’s medal and New Balance technical T-shirt that mass event participants receive.

Participants need to record their 10K and upload their results so we can send them their medals and T-shirts – this is a simple process, which we’ll explain fully in the lead-up to the event.

Brief history of the virtual Vitality London 10,000

The virtual Vitality London 10,000 was born back in 2020, when the Covid-19 pandemic meant we couldn’t stage the event in its usual format. So our participants didn’t miss out, we created the first-ever virtual Vitality London 10,000, which saw nearly 11,000 people run 10K from home or wherever they were during the October half-term break.

It proved to be a great way for people to set themselves a challenge, have fun and get active while enjoying the physical and mental health benefits of running during a difficult time – in fact, it was such a success that we’ve decided to bring it back in 2021, and now 2022!

To see what our participants got up to in 2021, just check out #CelebrateYou and #London10000 on our social media channels – they’re sure to inspire you!
