Participants With Disabilities
The Vitality London 10,000 is an inclusive mass participation event which aims to cater for runners of all abilities.
Please read the information below to find out more about who can take part, how to enter, and what to do if you have a disability and have any questions or concerns about participating in the event.
Who can take part?
- Day chair athletes, those who can self-propel
- Visually impaired runners
- Hearing impaired runners
- Any person with a mobility impairment who can run
Visually impaired runners who need the assistance of a guide should contact disability@londonmarathonevents.co.uk
Runners who would like to use a RaceRunner at the event should contact disability@londonmarathonevents.co.uk before submitting an entry.
The following are not currently permitted in The Vitality London 10,000:
- Handcycles
- Walking frames
- Electric wheelchairs
People who are unable to self-propel themselves around the course - for example, those who need to be pushed in a race buggy - are not permitted to take part.

Elite races and racing in a chair
Entry into the elite race at the Vitality London 10,000 is by invitation only. If you use a racing chair and believe you can finish the event inside 40 minutes, please contact disability@londonmarathonevents.co.uk
